Booking Terms and Conditions


Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking accommodation with bnetwork. When you make a purchase with bnetwork, you agree to accept these terms and conditions.

1. Accommodation general information 
Accommodation (including hotel room(s), apartment(s) or studio ("accommodation") for official delegates attending the festival can be booked (a "booking") through bnetwork SAS a company incorporated in France whose registered office is rue raphaël 1, 06400 Cannes, France ("b network"). bnetwork is an official partner of the festival. bnetwork can only be contacted via the website or by email: canneslions@bnetwork.com. The hotel owner or accommodation provider (the "hotel") is responsible for delivering your accommodation, not bnetwork or Ascential. Any booking made independently outside of the official Cannes Lions website and bnetwork booking service is not the responsibility of bnetwork or Ascential. Bookings can only be made through the Website once your official registered delegate pass has been purchased.

2. Accommodation eligibility
• Please note that reservations can only be made and confirmed by or on behalf of official festival delegates who have completed registrations online. 
• Please note that accommodation bookings are confirmed only once full payment is received for both the registered delegate passes with Ascential and the accommodation for said delegates with bnetwork.
• The bnetwork booking system contains details of accommodation which has been pre-approved by bnetwork and is located, in or around Cannes.
• All hotel bookings made via bnetwork must be used solely for the purpose of accommodation. If you intend to use your accommodation booking for a meeting space, you are required to notify Cannes Lions and bnetwork.

3. Payment options
bnetwork accepts payment by credit card (American Express, MasterCard or Visa) or bank transfer. A 2% administrative fee will apply to all payments.

There are three payment options available:
a) Credit card payment
b) Bank transfer
c) Stripes

4. Payment schedule for individual bookings (less than 15 rooms)
Your reservation will not be confirmed until the full amount in cleared funds for the reserved rooms is received by bnetwork within a seven (7) days delay. The amount requested corresponds to the total cost of your reservation, including the room rate, daily breakfast (if requested) and city tax.

Any booking made from 16 May 2024 onwards to the end of the festival, must be paid in full within a two (2) days delay.

If your payment is not received within the timeline stipulated above, your room(s) may be released back into the booking system for resale. No exceptions will be made to the payment schedule.

5. Accommodation for group bookings
A group booking is a booking that consists of at least 15 or more delegates who have asked to be treated as a group (no individual payment). Delegates names must be added and registered to passes prior to being allocated to rooms. A group booking allocation will only be confirmed and on hold until the terms & conditions have been read and approved.

6. Payment schedule for group bookings
If your payment is not received within the timeline stipulated below, your room(s) may be released back to bnetwork for resale. You are requested to pay for your room block in full, including the daily breakfast and the city tax.

• In order to be confirmed, a deposit corresponding to the minimum stay payable (4 nights) of your room block will be requested upfront. Until reception of this payment, your block will be considered as an option only and rooms can be taken back by Cannes Lions for resale.

• Upon reception of your first tentative rooming-list, or at the latest on April 8th 2024, a second payment corresponding to the full amount of your room block will be requested to confirm your reservations.

• In order to be confirmed, all the nights and rooms requested/added from April 8th 2024 onward will have to be fully prepaid within a two (2) days delay.

All the rooms that are not fully prepaid by close of business on May 30th 2024 will be cancelled and released back to the booking system for resale.

7. Accommodation name change policy
Name changes are to be made directly through your Cannes Lions' account. 
Name changes are permitted free of charge until May 30th 2024
Name changes for accommodation from June 6th, 2024, onwards are at the discretion of the hotel.

8. Accommodation cancellation policy
Accommodation cancellations must be communicated to bnetwork in writing via email to: canneslions@bnetwork.com. Telephone cancellations are not accepted. Cancellation charges may apply in the event of cancellation as stipulated below:

• For any cancellation of night(s) received before March 12 2024, 10% of the deposit paid for the night(s) cancelled will be kept as a cancelation fee.

• For any cancellation of night(s) received between March 13 and April 18 2024, 50% of the deposit paid for the night(s) cancelled will be kept as a cancelation fee.

• For any cancellation of night(s) received between the 19th of April and the 16th of May 2024, 80% of the deposit paid for the night(s) cancelled will be kept as a cancelation fee.

• For any cancellation of night(s) received from May 17, 2024 onwards, the deposit paid for the night(s) cancelled will be kept in full as a cancellation fee. 

Please note that administrative fees are non-refundable regardless of when you cancel. In any event, cancellation fees cannot be used to credit another booking or another night and are non-refundable.

Rooms that are left unoccupied 48 hours after the check-in date will be released back to the hotel and no refund will apply.

9. Accommodation refund policy
Refunds can only be proceeded via the original method of payment, at the earliest the last day of the Festival.
• For any cancellation of night(s) received before March 12, 2024, 90% of the total amount cancelled will be refunded via the original method of payment.
• For any cancellation of night(s) received between the 13th of March and the 18th of April 2024, 50% of the total amount cancelled will be refunded via the original method of payment.
• For any cancellation of night(s) received between 19th of April and the 16th of May 2024, 20% of the total amount cancelled will be refunded via the original method of payment.
• For any cancellation of night(s) received from the 17th of May 2024 onwards, there is no refund possible.

In case of holding deposit paid as a guarantee, it will be refunded either:
• When all the delegates will have prepay in full their reservations.
• From June 22 2024 only, if all the delegates have not prepaid in full their reservations, unpaid amount will be deducted  from your refund.

10. Accommodation reservation changes
• All reservation changes can be requested through the “Manage my reservation" area in your account. Changes will be confirmed by bnetwork within 1 working day and are subject to availability.
• Please kindly note that the name on the pass is linked to the name on the accommodation booking and therefore you must change the name of your pass to enable your accommodation booking.

11. Accommodation minimum stay policy
The minimum stay, or minimum number of night's payable, depends on the dates required and the type of accommodation booked:

2 nights
Sunday 16 June: 
4 nights
Monday 17 June:
4 nights
Tuesday 18 June:
4 nights
Wednesday 19 June:
3 nights
Thursday 20 June
2 nights

Please kindly note that some hotels may require a longer minimum stay on some of the above dates. In such cases, this will be indicated in the room rate section of the hotel. For apartment rentals, the minimum stay can vary from four to seven-night minimum stay, this is indicated in the apartment description.

12. Accommodation invoicing process
• bnetwork collects prepayment for all accommodation reservations. 
• Funds will then be transferred in full to the relevant hotel(s) (minus the 2% administrative fee). 
• You will receive an booking confirmation but you will not be provided with an official invoice from bnetwork. Your payment to bnetwork will appear as a deduction on the final invoice issued by your hotel (or agency if applicable) upon check out. Any balance due on the final invoice will have to be settled directly with your hotel (or agency) before departure.
• You can receive from bnetwork an official receipt/invoice for the 2% administrative fee, upon request.
• Please address any specific invoicing details or requests to bnetwork directly and they will be communicated to the accommodation providers accordingly. TVA will be applied to all invoices.

13. Complaints procedure
All complaints and claims which you make in relation to the accommodation are to be directed to (and are the responsibility of) the hotel.

14. Force majeure
The obligations contained herein shall not be applicable or shall be suspended if their execution has become impossible due to a case of force majeure.

Force majeure shall be understood as any event or incident at a local, national or international level, that is independent of the will of the parties, and is not reasonably foreseeable at the time of the conclusion of this contract. Such an event or incident would make it impossible to perform the obligations of all the parties or involves risks or disturbances that would likely seriously affect or endanger the organization and smooth running of the event and/or the safety of goods and persons. Such events or incidents would include but are not limited to fire, cyclone, storm, earthquake, nuclear incident, epidemic, pandemic, political, economic or social event, attacks (non-exhaustive list) as well as the cancellation or postponement of the Event for one of the causes set out in this article.

Consequently, in the case that the Event is held in a particular state of world health or environment resulting from the existence of a pandemic or epidemic. Any sudden and/or significant aggravation or propagation of the origin of the pandemic or epidemic which could not be reasonably foreseen in relation of the health & safety measures imposed by the authorities governing the place or location where the Event is planned to take place, that could provoke a decision by the administrative authorities or by the national authorities or any governmental bodies that, directly or indirectly imposes measures that cause the cancellation or postponement of the Event or making it necessary to cancel or postpone the Event in order to guarantee the safety of the participants, bnetwork will not be held responsible for any damage, loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind. 

The same shall apply to any decision by any administrative authority, national or any official governmental bodies that has not been reasonably foreseeable and not resulting from an activity by bnetwork, directly or indirectly imposing the cancellation or postponement of the Event.

15. Limitation of liability
The festival and/or bnetwork will not be responsible for the loss or damage whatsoever including any to any property left in the hotel or accommodation.

The festival will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of the festival, its employees, contractors or agents or otherwise). bnetwork’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the accommodation paid under the terms.

Nothing contained in these terms or in any other document referred to or incorporated in it shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by the festival’s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction
The terms and any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with it are governed by english law. The english courts have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute arising in connection with the terms, including disputes relating to any non-contractual obligations.
Each party irrevocably waives any objection which it may now or later have to proceedings being brought in the english courts (on the grounds that the english courts are not a convenient forum or otherwise).

17. Entire agreement 
These terms constitute the entire agreement between the festival, bnetwork and delegates in relation to the booking system operated by bnetwork for booking accommodation to attend the festival.
